Care and Maintenance
Proper care and maintenance of the Forestone Wood Bench will ensure it remains beautiful and durable for years to come.
Outdoor Weathering - Just like natural timber, the bench will fade when exposed to sun and rain overtime. There will be surface checks / cracks that appear overtime and that is a common characteristic of the bench. This feature does not compromise the structural integrity of the bench.
- Regular Cleaning:
Wipe down the bench regularly with a soft, damp cloth to remove dust and debris. Avoid using abrasive cloths or brushes that can scratch the surface.
For tougher stains, use a mild soap solution and a soft brush. Rinse with clean water and dry thoroughly with a soft cloth.
While ONEWOOD is water-resistant, it’s still good practice to wipe off any standing water after rain to prevent water spots and maintain the finish. - Seasonal Maintenance:
- Sealing and Finishing: Although ONEWOOD is durable, applying a wood finish once a year can enhance its appearance and provide extra protection against the elements.
- Refurbishing: ONEWOOD can be easily refurbished by sanding down to reveal a brand new layer of wood. Further applying a wood finish can enhance its appearance and refresh it to look like a new bench once again.
